Electrolab were commissioned by Advantica Technologies
to build a 1000 Litre reactor to test the effectiveness
of bioslurry technology for the treatment of coal tar
contaminated soil. Although there were a number of technical
problems to overcome during the design and manufacture
of the rig, it was capable of proving the concept of the
bioslurry technology at pilot scale.
The results from this demonstration helped convince our
client to build a full-scale bioslurry reactor, the first
rig of its kind in Europe. The 1000 Litre pilot plant
represents a cost effective rig very suitable for the
demonstration of water treatment technology.
